Crafted in Italy and boasting 1,250 watts of power, the Saeco Vienna SuperAutomatica Espresso Coffee and Cappuccino Machine takes the fuss out of creating espresso drinks at home by means of automating the entire process. With the simple push of a button the machine grinds the beans without burning them and tamps the ground coffee into the brew group.

The coffee machine will then brew a cup of coffee and store the spent grounds into a container. Did I mention that the whole process described above only takes 30 seconds? If you prefer to make yourself a cappuccino or latte there is the added steam wand with frothing milk attachment. You can select 1 or 2 cups and a cup size up to 10 ounces. The conical grinder has 6 different grind settings for whichever espresso beans you prefer.

The Panarello-frother device makes it easy to prepare thick, frothy milk without effort. Within 50 seconds the Vienna is ready to steam milk! Afterwards, the machine will automatically return to coffee mode within about 6 minutes. However if this is too long for you or you are in a rush, a 10 second purge of hot water will return the unit to coffee mode in approximately 20 seconds. Hot water for tea and other drinks is also available at the touch of a button.

The machine is 15 inches high by 13 inches wide by 13 inches deep and weighs about 19 pounds. It can hold about 12.5 ounces of coffee beans and the water tank holds about 57 ounces. Cleaning is exceptionally easy as the machine is very easy to take apart with the manufacturers clear and concise instructions. There is also a 1 year warranty included to cover against faults. With the included brew group key the coffee screen can be removed periodically for a more thorough cleaning.

An important aside should service ever be required – the brew group is easily swapped and much easier to ship than a whole machine, so keep that in mind should you be unfortunate enough to have to ship your saeco coffee machine off for repairs. The Superautomatica should be descaled roughly every three to four months in areas where the water is harder than the norm, but even this is easy using the simple instructions included.
